The legendary Société des Bains de Mer has unveiled the members-only Monte-Carlo Cigar Club, located inside Monaco’s iconic Casino de Monte-Carlo. A celebration of exceptional cigars, rare spirits and old-world French Riviera elegance, the club has been created for serious collectors and connoisseurs.
The 2,150-square-foot retreat occupies the former office of François Blanc, the visionary who transformed Monaco during the 19th century and helped establish Monte Carlo as one of Europe’s premier destinations for gaming, luxury hospitality and high society.
With an extraordinary collection of 35,000 cigars, private lockers, dedicated cigar sommeliers, Havana Club Iconica rums and a terrace overlooking Port Hercule, the Monte-Carlo Cigar Club offers an experience far removed from the conventional smoking lounge.
A New Destination for Monaco
In recent years, the Principality has welcomed new ultra-luxury residential developments, expanded its superyacht and marina infrastructure, and further reinforced its position as one of Europe’s leading destinations for wealth management, motorsport, fine dining and exclusive boutiques.

Developed in partnership with Dominique London, one of Europe’s leading luxury cigar and spirits specialists, the club’s humidors are stocked with many of the world’s most respected producers from Cuba, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, Honduras and Costa Rica.
Cuban cigars naturally occupy a prominent place within the collection, represented by historic marques including Cohiba, Montecristo, Partagás, Romeo y Julieta and Punch.
Among the most celebrated is Montecristo. Introduced in 1935 and named after Alexandre Dumas’s The Count of Monte Cristo, it remains one of the most widely recognised names in the cigar world. Partagás, meanwhile, traces its roots to Havana in 1845 and is renowned for its rich, full-bodied blends.
An Exceptional International Humidor
The non-Cuban selection is equally impressive.
It includes Arturo Fuente, one of the most respected names in the Dominican Republic, alongside Davidoff, the Swiss-based tobacco house renowned worldwide for exceptional construction, burn and draw.
Other featured cigar brands include Oliva, Rocky Patel and VegaFina, creating a collection encompassing some of the most distinguished names from across the cigar-producing world.
Membership is highly exclusive and required to enjoy the club. However, guests staying in selected Diamond Suites at the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo or Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort are also afforded access to the club.
Cigars, Rare Spirits and Expert Pairings
To complement its extensive cigar collection, the Monte-Carlo Cigar Club has dedicated cigar sommeliers available to guide members through pairings with coffee, tea, chocolate, Champagne, Cognac, whisky and rum.
Particular emphasis has been placed on Havana Club’s prestigious Iconica rum collection.
The selection includes Selección de Maestros, Gran Reserva Añejo 15 Años and the flagship Máximo Extra Añejo.
Exceptional wines sourced from the legendary cellars of the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo complete the drinks offering, allowing members to explore pairings across some of the finest wines and spirits available.
Inspired by Havana and the French Riviera
Paris-based architecture firm Moinard Bétaille designed the club, drawing inspiration from both Havana and the historic towns of the French Riviera while respecting the architectural heritage of its remarkable location within the Casino de Monte-Carlo.
Tobacco-coloured walls, rich wood panelling, bronze accents, plush leather chairs and carefully considered lighting establish a distinctly old-world atmosphere.
A library-style smoking lounge sits alongside an onyx-topped bar, while private wooden lockers allow members to safely store both cigars and preferred spirits.
The club’s walk-in humidor was created by Société DeArt, a specialist in luxury cigar storage.
A Terrace Overlooking Monaco
Perhaps the club’s most memorable feature is its terrace overlooking Avenue de Monte-Carlo and Monaco Harbour.
